This page is meant to be a repository for everything useful and known about the club.
When you advertise events, email at least these three people to get ads put out on mailing lists:
Diane Riggs, for the CS graduates:
driggs@cs.duke.edu Camelia Pierson Eaves for CS undergrads:
revp@cs.duke.edu Deborah Hill for the Pratt events newsletter:
deborah.hill@duke.edu If you can get contacts for Physics and Mathematics, they would probably be interested as well.
Also, of course, we have the two dulug mailing lists. I've added Brian as an administrator contact for dulug-announce, but anyone can administer with the password <ASK THE PRESIDENT> (or whatever you change that to be). Any traffic on dulug-announce has to be approved before it's sent out as I have emergency moderation turned on.
http://www.duke.edu/web/dulug/lists"gap">I updated the OSAF contact list, so you all should be registered for the activities fair. It's apparently going to be Sept. 1 on the new "Student Plaza" that's being built, but they'll hopefully send the rest of the info later.
To be able to edit the wiki, you have to be in the EditGroup
http://dulug.duke.edu/EditGroup, so ask someone on that page to add you. Kidus, you'll have to go to a new-treasurer orientation session in the fall, so keep an eye out for the announcement.
Our preliminary budget allotment is available on the SOFC's website:
http://www.duke.edu/web/SOFC/ Click on the image and then on the big bold link. Our OSAF fund code is <ASK THE TREASURER>.
I'm attaching a manifest of all the hardware we own as an OpenDoc spreadsheet.
Best of luck with the future, recruiting more people, etc. I think it would be a good idea to create some more named positions (webmaster, publicity chair, secretary, etc.) and try to get people involved that way. I'm sure I'll be incontact.
