ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Headlining the show this year will be rock/funk/hip hop collaboration N*E*R*D. Originally a side project of The Neptunes, Grammy-winning producer Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo formed N*E*R*D with Shay Haley in 2001. Their debut album “In Search Of….” was certified gold by the RIAA and was followed up by “Fly or Die” in 2004 and “Seeing Sounds” in 2008. Recently, N*E*R*D. has toured with Kanye West, opened for JayZ, and collaborated with artists such as Santogold among others. The group’s forth album titled “Instant Gratification” is slated for a 2010 release. When asked about his band, Pharrell Wiliams has said: “N*E*R*D stands for No One Ever Really Dies. It's our life. N*E*R*D is just a basic belief. People's energies are made of their souls. When you die, that energy may disperse but it isn't destroyed. Energy cannot be destroyed. It can manifest in a different way but even then it's like their souls are going somewhere. If it's going to heaven or hell or even if it's going into a fog or somewhere in the atmosphere to lurk unbeknownst to itself, it's going somewhere."
Supporting N*E*R*D. will be Grammy-nominated hip hop artist Kid Cudi. In 2009, his single “Day ‘n Nite” reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B/Hip-Hop charts. His debut album “Man on the Moon: The End of the Day” was released in 2009 and reached #4 on charts. Kid Cudi has collaborated with artists Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, and Common.

A: Doors open to Cameron at 6:30 PM. Will call will open at 6 PM.
Q: How do I get to Cameron Indoor Stadium? And where can I park?
A: Click HERE for driving directions (via Google Maps)! And click HERE for a list of parking locations (we would recommend Brian Center Lot, Parking Garage IV, and the Science Drive Visitor Lot). Please note there will be a small event fee for all non-student parking. Students with a valid ID may park in the Blue Zone (enter from circle off of Towerview).
Q: What items can’t I bring inside?
A: The list of prohibited items is similar to that during basketball games. You CANNOT bring in outside food or drinks, alcohol, illegal substances, or weapons. All bags are subject to search.
Q: Can we bring in cameras?
A: Yes, cameras are allowed, as long as there are no changeable lenses (ie: no professional equipment is permitted, unless you are a pre-approved member of the press). And please, no recording devices.
Q: Where can I listen to the artists online, legally, and for free?
A: We've created a playlist just for that! It's free, streams online, and is totally legal - and no sign up is required! Click HERE to start listening!
Q: Will the concessions be open? And will merchandise be available?
A: Yes! Food concessions will be available and will accept food/flex, cash, and credit. Artists may be bringing their own merchandise for purchase, but that’s up to them. Most likely, they will only take cash or credit (but that’s their call).
Q: Can I get press credentials for this show?
A: All media credentials must be approved by the artists. Contact Press Liaison Michelle Cho for more details.
Q: Will you guys be updating your website the day of the show?
A: No, but for realtime updates, check our Twitter feed. You don’t even need to have a Twitter to see what we have to say, because everything is public. Check it out HERE!
Q: If I buy my ticket online, how do I pick it up?
A: Tickets can be picked up from Will Call at the Duke University Box Office (located in the Bryan Center) before the show or at the Will Call booth outside Cameron Indoor Stadium an hour and a half before the show.
Q: I have class when tickets go on sale. Can a friend buy mine for me?
A: You can buy up to 4 tickets per ID. Since seating is reserved, make sure to buy your tickets with your friends if you’d like to sit with each other.
Q: Who designed that sweet hand-drawn poster?
A: We hired Plastic Flame Press to make this amazing poster! You may recognize some of his art from his work with local venue Cat’s Cradle. Check out their website HERE.

A: Everyone will enter from the Whitford Drive side (by the Cameron Box Office) and the stage will be located where the band and graduate students usually sit. See map below for more details.
