ABOUT ECASU

This past February, a team of students from Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill returned from Columbia University with a successful bid to host ECASU 2002. Founded in 1977, ECASU serves as a powerful forum and vehicle for education, empowerment, and collaborative action on Asian Pacific American issues. As the largest conference for Asian Pacifics and Asian Pacific Americans on the East Coast, it regularly attracts 900-1000 participants. Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will host the 2002 ECASU conference in Durham, North Carolina, only its second trip to the South in its twenty-five year history.

The conference will be held from Friday, February 22, 2002 to Sunday, February 24, 2002.
