Praxis Information for Secondary Certifiers
The purpose of this Web page is to provide Duke students with information about the Praxis tests that are required to become a certified teacher in North Carolina. All students must complete and pass the PPST (Praxis I: Pre-Professional Skills Test) or provide evidence of scroing a minimum of 1100 on the SAT before they can be formally accepted into the Teacher Preparation Programs.
How do I register for a Praxis test?
- Get a copy of the Praxis Registration Bulletin in Room 213, West Duke Building or online at the Praxis Web site at: http://www.ets.org/praxis
- Registration must be received approximately one month before test date. Check the Praxis Registration Bulletin for exact mail-in and online registration due dates: http://www.ets.org/praxis/prxreg.html
