Woodrow Wilson Rockefeller Fund Fellowships for Students of Color Entering the Teaching Profession
The Woodrow Wilson Rockefeller Fund Rockefeller Fund will provide 25 fellowships valued at up to $22,100 to 25 juniors of color majoring in the arts and sciences who wish to pursue a master's degree in education and to teach in American public elementary or secondary schools.
Rockefeller Fellows begin their preparation during the summer between their junior and senior years, during which time they are granted $2,500 for a project or set of activities of their own choosing (seven weeks minimum) that is related to teaching.
Following graduation, Fellows are expected to enroll full-time in a master's degree program in teacher education or a related field. The Fund provides grants of $12,000 for one-year programs and $16,000 for two-year programs.
Upon completion of graduate work, the Fund will provide up to three years of loan repayments at $1,200 per year, pending the employment of the Fellow as a teacher.
