We are pleased to announce the 2000-2001 Academic Year European Union Graduate Fellow: Kivanc Kirgiz, a doctoral candidate in Economics. His thesis is a comparative study on the effects of European integration and tax harmonization on national automobile markets. During the coming academic year Kivanc plans to focus on the case studies of the United Kingdom and Italy, using a combined methodology derived from the fields of industrial organization and international trade.
