Provides master planning, space planning, design services, and project management.
John Pearce has been the University Architect since 1992. He is responsible for the university master plan, architect selection for all capital projects, and the design of all projects. His responsibilities also include representing the university internally and externally on architectural issues as well as developing an improved overall strategic design plan for Duke University and Duke University Health System.
Prior to coming to Duke, John was a managing principal and partner with The Hillier Group of Princeton, NJ. A Yale University graduate, he is a registered Architect in New Jersey, New York, Colorado, Missouri, Idaho, California, Illinois, Michigan, Maine, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.
