Duke University Motorsports is made up of around 29 undergraduate and graduate students. The team provides a holistic engineering experience to its members; many members assume multiple responsibilities within the organization and everyone shares the common objective of improving upon past designs to create our best car yet. Our members also frequently take independent studies with team advisers and other faculty members to blend advanced science and engineering into our design and manufacturing processes.

Other team activities include participating in education and community building by forming partnerships with other organizations at Duke and by participating in events in the surrounding area. Team sponsors reap the benefits of these highly visible activities which range from our yearly car unveiling party to volunteering with young local students in the Duke-Durham School Days program or the K-12 Engineering Outreach Initiative. They also include several yearly trips to local autocross competitions where the car performs very competitively and draws the interest of hundreds of curious onlookers and fellow enthusiasts.
