DukeOUT is a student-run organization dedicated to bringing together
Duke's LGBT graduate and professional students and our allies. We seek to
strengthen our community and enhance Duke's support network by increasing
interaction between LGBT and allied students within the University,
raising the visibility of LGBT concerns, and fostering discourse on LGBT
issues. In pursuit of these objectives, DukeOUT hosts educational and
social events for Duke students and the surrounding community and serves
as a conduit for local and regional events that may be of interest to LGBT
and allied students.
What do we have cooking? There will be a great speaker series held at
various schools across the university to bring us together on each
other’s turf. We will hold social events now and then, hopefully
well-attended with lots of involvement from the folks at UNC as well.
Political events and volunteer opportunities will be on the horizon as
well.
