Global Grasp raises awareness of global challenges and crises through active involvement with the victims and people involved. Duke undergraduates initiate and follow-through on projects in the service of others.
Our history. The founders of Global Grasp met in the fall of 1999 in the course Genocide in the Twentieth Century. The founders shared a vision of raising awareness of global human rights and challenges throughout the Duke community, and agreed that providing students and community members opportunities to directly impact the lives of the victims of these crises would serve as a unique and effective means of raising such awareness.
