Invitation from the President

Dear Colleagues:

You are cordially invited to participate in the University's 2009 Commencement Weekend activities on Friday, May 8; Saturday, May 9; and Sunday, May 10.

In addition to the graduation exercises on Sunday morning, a reception honoring members of the graduating classes will be held on Saturday afternoon from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the East Campus Lawn. I would like to extend a special invitation to you and your guest to attend both of these events. It means a great deal to our graduates to be able to introduce you to their families, and to say an appropriate farewell to their favorite professors.

Please see the memorandum mailed from Richard A. White, the University Marshal, which gives a schedule of major events for the weekend and information about participation and apparel orders. I look forward to seeing you at the reception and the commencement ceremonies.
