Graduation Information for Faculty and Administrators
I invite you to participate in the events of the One Hundred Fifty-sixth Commencement of Duke University and especially to take part in the academic procession of the Graduation Exercises on Sunday morning, May 11. Dick Brodhead presides over the Graduation Exercises.
If you need to reserve academic apparel, please complete the apparel card that was mailed to you by Monday, March 17 or order online from the website. There is no charge for this apparel. Those who indicate they plan to march in the procession will receive instructions from this office during the week of April 28.
Members of the administration and the faculty and their guests are also invited to attend the traditional reception honoring the Graduating Classes on Saturday afternoon, May 10. The reception will be held on East Campus on the lawn south of East Duke Building from 4:30-6:00 p.m. The Duke University Wind Symphony will provide music during the afternoon.
The graduates and their families deserve our support and presence in the events of Commencement Weekend. I look forward to seeing you at Commencement.
