![]() February 25, 2009 Dear Member of the Class of 2009: On May 10, Commencement Weekend will culminate in the annual graduation exercises and the distribution of diplomas. Many special events are scheduled over the three days of celebration which precede graduation. Among them is a reception for members of the Class of 2009 from 4:30-6:00 on Saturday afternoon, to which you and all your guests are most cordially invited. I hope you will mark your calendars to include this very special occasion. It is one of Duke's happiest traditions that seniors are asked to name those members of the faculty and administration whom they would particularly like us to invite to that reception. This will give you the opportunity to introduce your families to your favorite professors and advisors, and it will given them an appropriate moment to bid you farewell. Please let us know, by completing and returning the form, the names of those you would most like to join us. Each faculty member and administrator named will receive a special invitation to attend the reception. I look forward to saluting all of you for your accomplishments at Duke and celebrating the promise your future holds. In the meantime, I send my best wishes for a fruitful and happy final semester at Duke. Yours sincerely, |
