Patient and Visitor Relations (PVR) provides a myriad of services to patients and visitors to Duke Hospital or Duke clinics. Services include follow-up to concerns expressed by patients or visitors, sign language interpreters and notary needs. PVR staff are available to assist patients, their family members and visitors.

The Disability Management System serves as a central clearinghouse on disability-related information at Duke University and Duke University Health System. Some of the services provided by DMS include:
Accessibility Maps of the campus and health facilities highlighting accessible paths of travel, parking and entrances for individuals with disabilities
Assistive Technologies & Equipment to accommodate individual needs
Implementing the Duke Accommodations Procedures; these procedures provide clear instructions on how to initiate physical, psychological or learning disability-related requests for work or academic accommodations.

Under the auspices of the President, The Office for Institutional Equity (OIE) provides institutional leadership in sustaining a respectful and inclusive environment. Administrative responsibility for implementing the Duke University Harassment Policy rests with OIE. The office provides a range of services to employees, managers, senior leaders and students that ensure access to employment and educational opportunities, coordinates federal and state compliance efforts, and facilitates learning opportunities for the Duke community.
