Welcome to Hoof 'n' Horn
Hello friends
and welcome to the website for Hoof 'n' Horn, the South's oldest student-run
musical theater organization!
Over the course of our 73 years of existence, Hoof 'n' Horn's mission has been to provide the best amateur theater to both Duke University and the Durham Community. Hoof 'n' Horn produces three main-stage productions each year, with a "children's theater" company that travels to and impacts students living in the greater Durham area. A time-honored hallmark of our organization is that students control every aspect of the theater: producing, directing, performing, design, management, and everything in between.
Throughout our long history, Hoof 'n' Horn has been fortunate to be joined by people from across the University. Although most of our students have historically been undergraduates in Trinity or Pratt, some of our most valuable members have been students in the various other schools of the University, not to mention our faculty and staff. Hoof 'n' Horn consistently strives to expand our membership and thus raise the quality of our productions.
Hoof 'n' Horn also, in the name of strengthening the community of our organization, hosts multiple social functions throughout the year. These tie the organization together, culminating in a theater company that is like no other. We'd love for you to join our family.
If you're interested in getting involved in Hoof 'n' Horn artistically, technically, financially, or just by giving moral support, please feel free to contact me at zack.perini AT duke DOT edu. I'd love to hear from you.
See you in the theater!
