Hoof 'n' Horn Presents:

REEFER MADNESS

Based on the 1936 film Tell Your Children
Music by Dan Studney
Book & Lyrics by Kevin Murphy

Originally directed by Andy Fickman, it was initially shown at the Hudson Theater on Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles and then moved to the New York "Off-Broadway" scene. The show opened Off Broadway on September 15, 2001.

In a high school classroom, The Lecturer tells the assembly of anxious parents about the evils of marijuana. Jimmy Harper is a fine upstanding youth, blessed with the love of the fair Mary Lane. However, across town, the weed-pusher Jack, his moll Mae, and his cronies, Sally and Ralph, are living in the depths of depravity, and they are waiting to lure young Jimmy into their clutches. A single encounter with "The Demon Weed" is all it will take to send Jimmy to incredible "heights"...
