Stephanie Amoako is a Trinity senior from Greensboro, North Carolina. She is majoring in International Comparative Studies with a concentration in Africa. Stephanie is very interested in human rights issues and participated in the Humanitarian Challenges FOCUS program freshman year. In the fall of 2006, Stephanie spent the semester abroad in Cape Town, South Africa where she studied multiculturalism and social change, and did research on refugees and xenophobia. The summer after her junior year Stephanie interned at Catholic Charities in Durham which gave her exposure to issues surrounding poverty in the United States. Stephanie is very grateful to be a part of the Reginaldo Howard program because of the opportunities and the support it has given her.
