I am from Charlotte, North Carolina and I went to Harding University High School in Charlotte, where I completed the International Baccalaureate program. The Reginaldo Howard Scholars has been a source of guidance and an opportunity explore student leadership on campus. When I made the transition to Duke I participated in the in the Modern Americas FOCUS program. The support that the Reginaldo Howard community provides me with has been invaluable. Along with the leadership opportunities and personal relationships on campus, I was able to study abroad in Ghana last summer with Reggie Howard support. I am also involved with the Baldwin Scholars Program, the Black Student Alliance's Public Affairs Committee, Duke NAACP, and Students to Unite Duke. I am a Public Policy major with minors in Cultural Anthropology and African and African American Studies. I hope to pursue a career in social justice work and get involved in community service and social justice organizations here at Duke. In my spare time I enjoy going out, reading, baking, singing off-key, and relaxing with my friends.
