Brandon Roane is a junior from Baltimore City, Maryland. He is a pre-med mathematics majors and hopes to go to medical school following his undergraduate years at Duke University. Brandon has aspirations to pursue a career in the field of forensic pathology hoping to become a head medical examiner.
Outside of his academic work, Brandon is very passionate about community service. During his sophomore year he chaired the Black Student Alliance Outreach Committee, putting on programs connecting the Durham community to the black student body at Duke University. This year he serves as the Duke Student Government Community Liaison and works on large scale collaborative projects with groups such as North Carolina Central Student Government Association, Duke Durham Neighborhood Partnership, and Stop Hunger Now.
During the summer Brandon plans to do research through the Excellent Research Opportunity (EXROP) program at a university to be determined later. Some hobbies that Brandon engages in during his free time include playing paintball with his friends, weight-lifting, and watching ESPN.
