BBC: Boxing Boot Camp. Boxing drills, step intervals, resistance exercises. Intermediate/advanced fitness levels, all skill levels welcome. BT: Body Tone. Uses weights, bands, tubing, the step and stability ball for a total body workout for everyone. CT: Cardio tone. Intervals of toning exercises and repetitive step movements. No step experience required KB: Kickboxing. A martial arts-style workout with moderate impact appropriate for intermediate exercisers. KBB: Kickboxing bag. Uses weighted bags for kicking and punching.. STEP: A low to moderate impact class that will improve coordination and cardiovascular conditioning through choreographed combinations.
Mind/Body:
ASY: Ashtanga yoga, which builds heat, balance, and coordination. AUY:a branch of Hatha yoga, Anusara is yoga that emphasizes attitude, alignment, and action. HY: Traditional Hatha yoga class based on an ancient form of movement that promotes balance and flexibility. A great way to start learning yoga! PIL: Pilates mat. Class emphasizes strong abdominal and back muscles to improve strength and posture. Y/P: Hatha yoga and Pilates.
Additional information: Water is permitted in studios in an unbreakable, enclosed container. Please place bookbags and gym bags in the locker room or the studio closet and place shoes and extra clothing outside the classroom. Try to arrive on time to classes, and early if you are new to that class. All classes are on going and open to anyone with access to either recreational center. Please turn off cell phones.
