KD-Was there any opposition to having white members at the church? 

RV- No. No, uh, not even from a curiosity standpoint.  In terms of eleven
o'clock on a Sunday morning being the most segregated hour in America, as
with anything else, segregation always breaks down better if integration
is a two-way street.  The problem with integration, why integration
failed, why it will always fail is because the whole process is due to a
one way step.
