Mr. White describes the experiences of his son, Nathaniel White, Jr., as
a member of the first integrated undergraduate class at Duke University.
White: And during the time they graduated somebody said that they had a
bomb scare, but nothing really happened. Somebody just put the word out.
Those three or four, I think it was three, graduated on time, in the
schedule time, four years. Everthing went well. They may have had some
incidents, but nothing very unusual.
