Durham was a hustling and bustling city at that time. We didn't have these
shopping malls then, everything was located downtown. You'd go downtown
around 4:30 or 5:00 in the afternoon, any afternoon, and people were so
thick you were rubbing up against people. Yeah...on Main Street, because
that was when the factories let out.
