The Franklin Seminars > How to Apply

Seminar Conveners will issue each September a Request for Proposals for the subsequent academic year’s Seminar.

Franklin Humanities Institute Director Srinivas Aravamudan and the Faculty Co-Conveners will review applications along with a faculty committee of former fellows of the Seminar. Criteria include excellence of the application, the match with the Seminar topic, and the mix and diversity of the Seminar participants. Recommendations from the selection committee will be forwarded to the Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences who will make the final determinations. Decisions on faculty applications will be announced in mid-January.
