Description:
-
The Taishoff Aquatic Pavilion is a multi-use recreation and fitness facility inside The Wilson Center on West Campus. Taishoff houses an 8-lane, 25 yard competition pool as well as a diving well and an assortment of springboards. The Duke Blue Devils Swimming and Diving teams call Taishoff home to their competition with the season running late fall through early spring. The facility accommodates a wide range of recreation activities in addition to NCAA competition.
-
The Brodie Recreation Center also contains a 25 yard pool for swimming classes and recreation use.
-
The pools are available for recreational swim and aqua jogging during several shifts on the weekdays and weekends.

- Water polo, club swimming and other intramurals use the facility along with ROTC and other clubs affiliated with Duke. Special programming such as community outreach swimming lessons, cooperation with the various schools at Duke to host activities, and swimming and diving instruction round out the scope of programming. Lifeguard training and CPR certification classes are offered on occasion. Employment opportunities for lifeguards are available.
