Who We Are
DUET (Duke University Equestrian Team) is a Duke club sport and a member
of the IHSA (Intercollegiate Horse Show Association).
Our Coach is Ginny Rollins and the team takes lessons at Echo Creek Riding
Academy. Echo Creek is a small farm about 20 minutes from campus that
Ginny lives on with her family. It is also home to the team from UNC Chapel
Hill.
We compete at all levels against schools in North Carolina and Virginia
(region 3, zone 4) at IHSA Hunter Seat Equitation shows. DUET, however,
has members who compete and members who choose not to. We have members
from several equestrian disciplines and are always interested in expanding.
In addition to lessons and shows we organize team “bonding”
events and friendly Gymkhanas with the team from UNC Chapel Hill.
