The Duke Hockey program would like to send its deep regrets and sympathies to the friends and family of James Sapikowski. On May 14th, Coach Sapikowski, who took over head coaching duties for UNC Hockey this past January, was found to have tragically passed away. He had a tremendously positive impact on his players and the UNC Hockey program and he was a huge boon to college hockey in the south. He will be deeply missed as a friend, mentor, coach and father.

New Duke Hockey Sweaters On Tap in 2005-06: New jerseys are on the way for Duke Hockey next season. Three designs have been finalized and the players will vote to determine which sweater gets the nod. Click HERE to view the three possible sweater designs.

THANKS FOR A GREAT SEASON
: Duke Hockey would like to thank all of those who made Duke Hockey successful this past season, and especially those who volunteered to help Duke Hockey host the ACCHL Finals. Your efforts are appreciated, and do not go unnoticed. A special thanks goes out to Mike and Joann West who have helped form Duke Hockey's Booster Club, operated admissions into the games, did stats, and provided overall support.

Thanks also to Mission Hockey who provided excellent on-ice protection, and supplied the ACCHL Tournament's Most Valuable Player, a pair of their top of line ice skates.

Finally, Duke Hockey will sorely miss the departure of Graduate Student and goalie Clayton Jernigan. Clayton provided Duke Hockey an opportunity to win every game, but more importantly ensured that our players formed a 'team'. Thanks and good luck Clay.
