Duke's first three tallies came from the lumber of Ben Tyson, Issey Kato and Ryan Eick. Richmond netted a power play goal before Bert Maidment scored for Duke to make the score 4-1 after one period.

The second period was chippy but the Blue Devils were able to kill off several penalties. Jesse Swanko got the only goal in the period, putting Duke ahead 5-1 after the second frame.

The floodgates exploded in the third as Duke outscored Richmond 5-0 in the final stanza. Goals came from Tyson and Kato again along with two from Robert Fogarty and one from Kevin Ford.

The win moves Duke to 6-1 on the season. The Devils will next hit the ice later today (Saturday) at the SportsPlex against the College of New Jersey. The puck drops at 10:15 PM.
