Lake, Swanko, Evans get the nod as captains
The Duke Hockey squad announced its captains for the 2003-04
season and seniors Jeff Lake and Jesse Swanko got the nod along
with sophomore Drew Evans. Lake who was an assistant captain
last season, will sport the "C" while Swanko and Evans
will be assistant captains. Swanko sported the "A"
last season as well.
The captains were selected by both Coach Selman and Coach Williams. They will
work hard to replace the leadership lost because of the graduation
of last season's captain, Luke Wolin. This won't be an easy
task but the three players are honored to have the opportunity.
Swanko said, "The leadership of Luke Wolin is irreplaceable
but we will certainly bring the skills we learned from him
to the dressing room and to the ice." |
