German Hall
Willkommen! Ever wish you could use "auf Wiedersehen" in real life, like Heidi Klum on Project Runway, or go on a spiel about the Bundesliga? Then this is the place for you! German hall of LangDorm (as the name implies) focuses on the German language and culture (we won't force you to wear lederhosen, but you are welcome to if you like.) Through academic and social interactions you can practice and strengthen your German skills. The German hall collaborates with the German club and the German department to host events such as Faschingsfest, speaking tables, mini-lessons. We also enthusiastically take part in German-oriented activities such as Oktoberfest and German movie nights.
Starting this year, all German hall members must satisfy three semesters or the equivalent of German language while at Duke. We hope to have many new rushees and potential members so please check us out. If you have any questions, please contact the current German hall representative, John Kunemund, jjk17 [at]duke.edu.
