Mission & Goals

LEADweek (acronym): Leadership Engagement at Duke

Mission

The mission of LEAD Week is to offer Duke students the opportunity to explore the knowledge and practice of leadership through peer to peer connection, dialogue with faculty and staff, and interaction with Duke alumni.

Goals

Through participation in LEAD Week activities, students will:
1. Explore their knowledge and practice of leadership 
2. Develop the understanding that leadership is more than positional
3. Demonstrate their contributions to the campus and global communities
4. Be able to seek advice and direction from educators and other professionals
5. Learn about leadership programs offered by the Office of Student Activities and Facilities and other campus departments
