1998-1999

Bridge painting. 4000 US abortions every day. Writing on the Wall - Painted the East Campus bridge. Messages included "Abortion Stops a Beating Heart," "October is National Respect Life Month," and "Pro-woman, Pro-life." These were soon defaced and altered by others.

The Signs of Our Times - 10/4/98 - Attended the Durham Life Chain. We joined hundreds of pro-lifers in Durham and more than a million nationwide in a show of our support for life.

4000 Little Feet - 10/19/98 - Posted 1000 flyers along the Bryan Center walkway on West Campus. Each displayed four pairs of baby feet representing the more than 4000 fetuses aborted daily in this country. Nearly all the flyers were torn down by a single Students for Choice member only hours later. Read the article about it in The Chronicle.
>> Anti-abortion flyers removed just hours after posting
Also read our response written by then co-President, Keven LeBlanc
>> Tearing down pro-life posters undermines choice

Foul and Fair - 10/24/98 - Manned the North Carolina Right to Life booth at the state fair. We spoke with passers-by about the value of life, and we also gained support for a petition demanding laws to stop the partial birth abortion procedure.
