Teo Yin Quan
President
Email: yt22 AT duke.edu
Hi, I am Yinquan, but no one calls me that, not even my mother. You can call me Yink or YQ. I am a rising senior in Electrical and Computer Engineering and not surprisingly I am interested in tech, computers and gadgets. I am an adrenaline junkie so let me know if you're interested in wakeboarding, skydiving, hang-gliding, rollercoasters or motorcycles!
If you are an incoming or prospective Duke student, please use the contact us page and fire away. It could be generic questions like "How is the undergraduate education at Duke like" to specific ones like "Do you have any tips for getting into the dance group Defining Movement (DefMo)?". We love answering questions!
Ku Ren Yu
Vice President
Hi, my name is Ren Yu and I am the current Vice President of the SSA at
Duke. I'm a sophomore majoring in Economics with a minor in Political
Science, and I am also interested in German language and culture. On campus,
apart from the SSA, I am involved with Model UN and I am also a member of
Brownstone. Outside of school, I enjoy wakeboarding, travelling and arguing
about politics. I also have a soft spot for good food, karaoke and opera.
Brian Liau
Secretary
My name is Brian, and I'm a graduate student with the Biomedical Engineering department. I do research in cardiac tissue engineering, making artificial constructs from stem cells that beat and pulse. I'm a little less involved with campus activities since I'm technically working and not really a student, but I love Durham because it's close to nature and rich in Southern culture. Hiking and nature trails abound in this region, and if you go to some of the state fairs in the area you get to see curious instances of what Southerners do when they get bored e.g. pig races, log sawing competitions and the like. My interests include tennis, judo, and roadtripping around North Carolina and the neighboring states.
Donny Lee
Treasurer
My name is Donny and I am a math major in Duke university. I was brought up in the streets of Bishan, a nice place to play basketball, slack at Coffee Bean and aspire to go to one of the top two JCs in Singapore. I am a graduate from Nanyang Junior College making a smooth transition to Duke to study the queen of sciences, mathematics. Of course, many of my friends will say I don't portray the image of a mathematician. Instead, I comprise of three things - a social agent who likes to bring people together, a mugger who thinks alcohol may be an impetus to better grades, and a jazz musician who failed creating a name for himself in Singapore.
Gan Jian Wei

Major: Computer Science and Economics
Hi I'm Jian Wei, or Wei, depending on where you met me. I'm the SSA's webmaster so if you have any comments or questions about this site, feel free to send me an email. At Duke, I am a member of the Nasher Student Advisory Board (the Nasher is Duke's art museum) and I also play a lot of intra mural soccer. I love programming and making websites, so if you share these interests do let me know.
