Ambulance Ride-A-Longs

Kevin Wilson, the Educational Coordinator at Durham County EMS, has graciously arranged for EMIG members to participate in ambulance ride-a-longs.  A waiver must be signed before doing a ride-a-long.  Contact Dr. Michael Burg burg0001@mc.duke.edu to obtain a copy of the waiver.  All ride-a-longs must be arranged directly with Dr. Burg.

Once a date and time have been arranged you will be paired with one of the busiest ambulance crews in the city.  The time you spend with the crew is up to you.  It's your chance to experience "life on the streets" during rescues and resuscitations.  The ride-a-long is an observational event only.

For the ride-a-long date, bring your stethoscope and ID badge. Recommended attire is a dress shirt, no tie, with khaki pants.
