The black graduate and professional student association exist to adresses the unique needs and concerns of minority graduate and professional students and to promote diversity within the duke university community

The Black Law Students Association

The Black Law Students Association ("BLSA") exists to address the unique needs and concerns of black law students, and to promote diversity within the Duke Law community and within the legal profession in general. Through the use of consistent social interaction, multi-cultural programming and programming geared largely towards scholarship, career and community assistance, BLSA fosters academic achievement, understanding of and respect for differences, and, ultimately, the development of future black leadership.

Duke University Black Pre-health Organization (DUBPHO)

The Duke University Black Pre-Health Organization is an student organization dedicated to providing academic, social, and moral support to African-American Students who are Pre-med, Pre-dentistry, Pre-vet, or interested in entering into other health professions.

Duke Black Student Alliance

The mission of the BSA is to support and advocate on behalf of black students in order to enhance Duke academically, socially, and culturally.

The Duke University Chapter of the NAACP shall work to advance the political, educational, and social status of Black people and other people of color; to eliminate racial prejudice; to establish a harmonious relationship between all students of color, the administration, and itself; to develop an intelligent, effective leadership; to uplift the Duke and Durham communities, in alliance with the national and local chapters; to maintain awareness on campus of racial issues
