Research Opportunities in the Brannon Lab
Dr. Brannon is part of a strong research environment in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience and the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience. Students interested in graduate work or post-doctoral positions should contact Dr. Brannon directly (brannon@duke.edu).
Dr. Brannon is also seeking interested undergraduates to participate in ongoing research projects on the development and evolution of numerical thinking. Opportunities exist for participating in research with human infants, monkeys, or lemurs. If you are interested in volunteering or doing work-study for the 2007-2008 year please contact Emily Hopkins (emily.hopkins@duke.edu) about opportunities to study cognitive development or Monica Carlson (mlc14@duke.edu) about opportunities to study primate cognition. Please contact Dr. Brannon directly if you are interested in doing independent research for course credit at Duke. Dr. Brannon also hires work-study students every summer, accepts volunteers who make a summer-long commitment, and hires 2 paid interns each summer.
If you are not a Duke student but are a sophomore or junior at another university and would like to come to Duke for a 10-week research internship in the summer of 2008, consider applying to the NSF-sponsored Mechanisms of Behavior Program. Preference is given to minority students and students from small colleges without vast research opportunities. |
