Mercury in Seafood
In addition to keeping environmental and sustainable issues in mind when you choose seafood, the mercury levels in seafood must also be taken into consideration. Mercury can be detrimental to human health, especially to young children or an unborn child. More information on current mercury levels in fish and precautions can be found at the EPA's website
To find out how much your weekly intake of mercury may be, check out the Got Mercury? Calculator.
