Location of Bristol Bay

Map by WWF International Arctic Programme (2)

Bristol Bay is located just north of the eastern region of the Alaska Peninsula.  The western boundary of the Bay is delineated by a 200 mile span between Port Moller on the Peninsula and Cape Newenham on the Alaskan mainland (U.S. Coast Guard, 2001).  Approximately 200 miles east of this boundary, the Nushagak and Kvichak Rivers feed into Bristol Bay (U.S. Coast Guard, 2001).  To the west, the Bay meets the Bering Sea.
