The Duke Outing Club is really great! It sponsors all kinds of outdoor activities, maintains an extensive locker and provides all kinds of support to outdoor enthusiasts at Duke. It provides gear, gas reimbursements for sponsored trips, medical kits for safety, maps and topos, and specialised training.
Membership is $45 per year or $25 per semester. Even if you make just one trip a year, the membership more than pays for itself. Trips are so much fun that you will remember them for the rest of your life.
