Dr. David Tawei Lee

will speak on "Prudence and Moderation: A Diplomat's View of the U.S.-Taiwan Relations”.

Dr. David Tawei Lee arrived in Washington, D.C. on July 23, 2004 to take up his position as Taiwan’s Representative to the United States.

A graduate of National Taiwan University, Representative Lee received his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia in 1987. Dr. Lee is the author of The Making of the Taiwan Relations Act: Twenty Years in Retrospect, the Oxford University Press, 2000.

The talk will be held at 3:30 pm, Friday, October 27, 2006, Allen Building Board Room, Allen Building, Duke University.
