Waikiki Brothers

Griffith Film Theater, 7PM
(2001, 109 min., in Korean with English subtitles, color, 35 mm)

Waikiki Brothers is a has-been band going nowhere. After another depressing gig, the saxophone player quits, leaving three remaining members to continue on the road. The band ends up at the small resort town which was once a popular attraction. Desperate to recapture an era when live bands were all the rage, long before the noraebang (karaoke) craze, the band arrives at the Waikiki Hotel.
