To register at International Office

You are required to register at the International Office as soon as possible after your arrival in North Carolina . You need to bring your passport, DS2019 form and other relevant documents with you. Please make an appointment by phone or email in advance. You'll fill out some forms there and it takes about 30 minutes or so. You'll get a letter to apply for social security card later.

International House

Check out the website to find many services. They will provide transportation to Social Security Card Office, to DMV to apply for NC driver’s license, to shopping. They will also provide many programs for visitors and family. Scholar orientation runs from Monday through Friday at 1:30pm. It’s very helpful for newcomers.
