A current topic of research in our lab is exploring the malleability of visual cognition - how various experiences and traits affect visual and attentional abilities. Perceptual abilities can be honed and affected by a variety of influences and we are looking to delineate what exactly can be influenced, and how. We are comparing several long-term and lifelong influences (e.g., playing videogames, being bilingual, being high on the autism spectrum) with a battery of behavioral measures.
