HOW TO REQUEST
SUPPLIES
Duke faculty,
staff and students are given priority for receiving surplus materials
to support health projects in areas of need overseas. These projects do
not have to be sponsored by Duke, but must be affiliated with a
non-profit organization willing to accept liability and responsibility
for distributing the supplies appropriately.
Requests for
single-use, disposable medical supplies are handled directly through
REMEDY. Click here to
obtain a request form.
Requests
for surplus medical equipment such as monitors, machines,
electrosurgical and other durable patient care equipment are processed
by the Duke Global Health Institute. Applications for these types of
items may be obtained by contacting duke-ghplus@duke.edu
DISTRIBUTION AND
SHIPPING
REMEDY
at Duke does not itself sponsor or perform medical work overseas, but
assists Duke organizations and individual Duke faculty, staff and
students who have the experience and resources to transport and
distribute supplies appropriately. Each individual or organization is
responsible for picking up and transporting needed supplies, and
accepts all liability for the use of these items.
