**Famed retired FBI officer interrogator, Brad Garrett, the lead interrogator in the DC Sniper and Chandra Levy investigations, will explain why torture doesn't work.
**Leading human rights lawyer Tina Monshipour Foster talks about her work at the giant Bagram military prison in Afghanistan
These speakers will be followed by afternoon workshops exploring what we can do to stop torture and restore the rule of law:
**There Oughta Be a Law: with State Representative Paul Luebke and State Senator Ellie Kinnaird discussing legislative efforts to ban torture, and protect human rights
**The Umbrellas Project: help make a traveling art exhibition about America's use of torture, and how we can respond.
**Putting Torture on Trial: discuss the legal questions around using international law to protect human rights defend and possible future war crimes indictments against American officials.
