Center
This is our local rape crisis and domestic violence
agency. Become a trained victim advocate to provide crisis
support and advocacy to survivors at the hospital and on
the crisis line.
Here at Duke...
Sexual Assault Support Services
(SASS)
provides educational outreach
programs on sexual assault and healthy relationships and
offers self-defense workshops for women. Request a program
or volunteer.
Sexual Harassment and Rape
Prevention (SHARP) Peer Educators
SHARP peer educators address health topics such as
definitions of sexual violence, myths and stereotypes,
gender role socialization, social norms, contributing
factors to sexual assault, and healthy relationships and
communication.
Men Acting for Change (MAC)
Join a group of male students and
administrators dedicated to addressing men’s roles at Duke
and working to create a safer and healthier community,
especially by opposing gender-related violence.
Campus Dialogues on Sexual
Assault
The Center for Race Relations and the SHARP Peer
Educators host campus dialogues about sexual
assault. Request one of these dialogues for your
organization, selective living group, club, or dorm.
Sexual Assault Prevention Week
(SAPW)
Sexual Assault Prevention Week's goal is to educate
the Duke Community about assault, organize around
ending violence, and to honor the survivors in our
community. Get involved by planning SAPW and
attending the events.
