Service Learning Abroad

Once you are notified of your acceptance
into the program, we encourage you to start looking for your service
learning opportunity abroad. There are several ways you can search
for a service-learning placement that would interest you. It is important to research available opportunities before you leave for your semester abroad. We recommend that you establish contact with your service learning placement before you leave. However, this is not always possible. Nevertheless, you should have some idea of what you want to do and where you want to work before you leave.
1) Contact your study abroad academic advisor. Let him/her know of your interests, and the times you can volunteer.
2) Contact previous SEE! the World participants, especially if they studied abroad in the same country that you will be in next semester.
3) Search the UN Volunteer Web.
4) Resources provided by NAFSA's Guide to Education Abroad
5) Contact the Career Center.

that provide international volunteer opportunities.
