Celebrating the rich artistic heritage of the Ottoman Empire, one of the largest and most powerful states in the history of Europe and the Middle East, this exhibition presents over 200 objects including illuminated manuscripts, ceramics, treasury objects, rugs, and arms and armor. This comprehensive survey demonstrates the originality and resilience of Ottoman artistic expression in religious, military, administrative and daily life, and the central role of imperial patronage. The works were drawn exclusively from the Nasser D. Khalili Collection of Islamic Art, one of the largest collections of its kind. Admission
