µPHYL Alumni

Postdoctoral Associates

Xiaodong Zhang

Xiaodong Zhang was a postdoc in the µPHYL group in 2007-2008 after receiving a Ph.D. degree from Duke University. He subsequently joined Harvard University as a postdoctoral researcher in Materials Science.

Yuejun Zhao

Yuejun (Eugene) Zhao was a postdoc in the µPHYL group in 2009-2011 after receiving a Ph.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He subsequently joined Telecardia Corp as a senior MEMS engineer.

 

Graduate Students

David Bober

David B. Bober was a graduate student in the µPHYL group in 2010-2011. He received a B.S. degree in Engineering from Swarthmore College in 2009, and is currently working toward his PhD degree at University of California, Irvine.

Meng-Han Chiang

Meng-Han Chiang was a research assistant in the µPHYL group in 2008 and received an M.S. degree from Duke University in December 2008. He subsequently joined Shanda Corporation in Taiwain as a manager.

Benjamin Goldman

Benjamin D. Goldman was a graduate student in the µPHYL group in 2011. He received a B.S. degree in Physics from Connecticut College in 2010, and is currently studying Aerospace Engineering at Duke University.

Shenren Xu

Shenren Xu was a research assistant in the µPHYL group in 2008-2010 and received an M.S. degree from Duke University in May 2010. He subsequently pursued graduate studies in Aerospace Engineering at Duke University.

 

Undergraduate Students

Christopher Baker

Christopher H. Baker was a Pratt Research Fellow in the µPHYL group in 2009-2010 and received a B.S. degree from Duke University in May 2010. He subsequently pursued graduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at University of Virginia.

Christopher Lin

Christopher L. Lin was a Work-Study student in the µPHYL group in 2008-2009 and received a B.S. degree from Duke University in May 2008. He subsequently joined Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) as an engineer.

Celeste Poley

Celeste R. Poley was an REU Fellow in the µPHYL group in 2010. After the internship, she continued to pursue her B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

 

High School Teacher

Jean Stave

Jean A. Stave spent two summers in the µPHYL group when she was a science teacher at Riverside High School at Durham, NC. She subsequently joined Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as a researcher.
