Freshman Orientation

Join us at our Table during Freshman Orientatation, and at the Religious LIfe Open House, Wednesday, August 20

Fall Activities

We will meet Sunday evenings at 6 pm in the basement of Duke Chapel. We will use a small group ministry format: chalice lighting, check in, sharing of Joys and Concerns, Discussion (about any subject ( approval, failure, guilt, sex , money success, perfection, student concerns) and closing words

Cynthia Kuhn is the campus ministry coordinator at Duke.  Cindy is a professor of Pharmacology at Duke and a long-time member of ERUUF where she is active in religious education for youth, especially sex and drug education. What is UUF@D?

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship @ Duke (UUF@D) is the Unitarian Universalist (UU) campus ministry program at Duke University.

UUF@D welcomes all UU undergraduates and graduate students who are enrolled at Duke UU students from other colleges and universities, UU faculty and staff at Duke, and other interested students and young adults affiliated with Duke or other colleges and universities, regardless of religious affiliation (or lack thereof), nationality, race or ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, political affiliation or disability.

UUF@D is sponsored by the Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (ERUUF) of Durham North Carolina, and is recognized as a student organization by Duke University’s Office of Religious Life and Office of Student Activities.

What is Unitarian Universalism?

Unitarian Universalism is a liberal religion that believes in the inherent worth of every person, the authority of reason and conscience in religion, freedom of religious belief and a faith that is manifested in justice and love.

What do UU's Believe?

The inherent worth and dignity of every person
Justice, equity and compassion in human relations
Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations
A free and responsible search for truth and meaning
The right of conscience and the use of democratic process within our congregations and in society at large
The goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all
Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part
